Biography

Dr. Mark Goodman joined the Center for Health Policy and Ethics as a Faculty Associate in the Fall of 2000. Dr. Goodman received his MD degree from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha in 1985. He specialized in Family Practice at Rush University School of Medicine in Chicago and was Board Certified in 1988.

Dr. Goodman practiced medicine in Southern California (1988-1990), and later relocated to Showak, Sudan (1990-1992) to work for the Lamba Association and United Nations High Commission on Refugees as medical director of the refugee clinics. After working for Omaha's Charles Drew Clinic (1992-1994), he joined the Department of Family Practice at Creighton University Medical Center.

Dr. Goodman also serves as the medical director of St. Joseph Villa Hospice in Omaha and he is currently serving as a member of the board of directors of the Nebraska AIDS Project. Dr. Goodman brings extensive experience in HIV care, travel medicine and hospice care to the Center.
