Dr. Mark Goodman joined the Center for Health Policy and Ethics as a Faculty Associate in the fall of 2000. Dr. Goodman received his Doctorate of Medicine from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha in 1985. He completed his Family Practice residency at Rush University School of Medicine in Chicago in 1988. He has also been certified by the American Academy of Family Practice since 1988.
Dr. Goodman practiced medicine in the San Francisco area (1988-1990); he later relocated to Showak, Sudan (1990-1992) to work for the Lamba Association through the auspices of the United Nations High Commission on Refugees as medical director of their refugee clinics. After working for Omaha's Charles Drew Clinic (1992-1994), he joined the faculty of the Creighton Department of Family Medicine.
Dr. Goodman is on the board of directors of the Nebraska AIDS Project. He brings extensive experience in HIV/Aids care and research, and hospice care to the Center for Health Policy & Ethics.
