Marx, Technology, and the Body
Wednesday, December 2, 2009, 3:30-4:30 p.m.
Center for Health Policy & Ethics Conference Room
Discussant: Amy Wendling, PhD, Assistant Professor, Department of Philosophy
Wendling will discuss her new book, “Karl Marx on Technology and Alienation.” In her book, Wendling offers a new interpretation of German philosopher Karl Marx’s concept of alienation. She draws on lesser known archival materials, including Marx’s notebooks on technology and on women’s lives.
