Two Faculty Positions in the Master of Public Health Program
at Creighton University

Creighton University in Omaha, NE invites applications for two open-rank, full-time, tenure-track faculty positions in the new fully on-line Master of Public Health Program at the Center for Health Policy and Ethics (CHPE) at the Creighton University School of Medicine.

Established in 1985, CHPE is a freestanding academic unit located in Creighton University's School of Medicine. CHPE faculty members hold academic appointments in one or more of the Schools of Dentistry, Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy and Health Professions, and other schools and colleges within the University. Faculty Position One:

We seek candidates who demonstrate academic expertise in the core public health areas of Epidemiology, Biostatistics, and Environmental Health.

Responsibilities: Teaching and developing online graduate courses in the core areas of Epidemiology, Biostatistics, and Environmental Health; conducting applied and collaborative  research in related areas that advance population health; providing service to the University, CHPE and MPH program and greater community through involvement in appropriate university committees; executing program specific committees and assignments; participating in public and professional organizations and government and community groups.

Qualifications: Nominees and applicants are required to hold a terminal degree in Epidemiology, Biostatistics, or a degree in public health or a related field with a specialization in Epidemiology or Biostatistics. Candidates must also demonstrate a commitment to teaching students online and to the values and mission of Jesuit education. Preference will be given to candidates with teaching experience and a record of scholarly contributions that promote the academic mission of the MPH program and CHPE.

Faculty Position Two:

We seek candidates who demonstrate academic expertise in the public health areas of Social and Behavioral Science, Communications and Informatics, and methods in Community-Based Participatory Research.

Responsibilities: Teaching and developing online graduate courses in the core public health areas of Social and Behavioral Sciences in public health, Communications and Informatics, and Community-Based Participatory Research; conducting applied and collaborative  research in related areas that advance population health, providing service to the University, representing CHPE and MPH program through involvement in appropriate university committees, executing program specific committees and assignments, participating in public and professional organizations and government and community groups.

Qualifications: Nominees and applicants are required to hold a terminal degree in social and behavioral sciences in health care or a degree in public health or a related field with a specialization in Social and Behavioral Sciences. Candidates must also demonstrate a commitment to teaching students online and to the values and mission of Jesuit education. Preference will be given to candidates with teaching experience and a record of scholarly contributions in areas that promote the academic mission of the MPH program and CHPE.
